Final Fantasy Adventure Video Walkthrough
At the request of PJServo here at YouTube, I present to you a video walkthrough / playthrough / runthrough / etc of the Game Boy game Final Fantasy Adventure
Firstly, a bit of trivia for those who didn't know: This is actually part of the Mana series of games. In Japan, it's known as Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden. In Europe it's called Mystic Quest. Anyone who has played Secret of Mana will recognize many enemies and bosses in this game.
I was going to do this eventually, but PJServo has some plans that involve this particular game, so I thought I'd help and get it done sooner rather than later. I suggest when he's done with his project, you give his video a look at.
Anyways, on with the rant:
I gave the guy and gal the names Sumo and Fuji due to the fact that was the names given to them in the booklet.
I could have used the chocobo more often, but since I try not to grind in my videos (though I take a minute to gain a bit of cash so I can get some gear at the first town), I had Sumo walk to most places while killing the baddies as he came across them. There were a few spots where I just ran past with the chocobo though...
Speaking of passing enemies, in some dungeons and whatnot I do just walk past the enemies...I just couldn't be bothered to kill them at the time. Also, I'm sure I could have easily killed a lot of enemies with other weapons, but I was a bit fuzzy at times trying to remember which enemy disliked which weapon. It was easy enough to learn I needed to go from point A to point B, but trying to recall which weapon worked where, I had a tiny bit of trouble, but I think I still did fine.
I do miss out on some EQ, since I would have had to grind for it, but thankfully I know the boss patterns well enough to dodge here and there... :P
And speaking of passed by EQ, I almost got the Aegis shield from that freaking elephant enemy at the end, but got something else from the chest...Meh....
There were quite a few item shops I didn't bother going to. I also never bothered to visit a magic shop either. As you can tell from the video, while I do pump some points into wisdom, I was more of a physical fighter. Though, some people could get by with just magic more or less I guess if they really wanted to.
All in all, I thought everything turned out alright...My boss strategies might not be the best, but they seemed to have worked out.
