Final Fantasy VI - No Magicite/No Relic Run - Stream 08 - Part 5
This is my eighth stream for Final Fantasy VI which was hosted on March 10, 2016 at 0900 EST and went on for roughly three hours before stopping.
My goal is to find out how hard the game is to beat without using Magicite which grants the ability for all characters to learn every spell and acquire stat boosts upon each level up. To add more misery to pain, I am denying myself Relic (or accessories) which also grant boons to characters in battle and can sometimes break the challenge of the game.
Since this is a echo of a Twitch stream, there are going to be some technical issues such as missed frames and dropped sequences due to bandwidth issues as well as audio level inbalances, most should be eliminated by now however. Despite this, please forgive those and enjoy the playback!
In this 7-part stream, we explore the rich, upper class town of Jidoor and find out a phantom demon has inhabited a specially commissioned painting of Owser. We head to the basement to oust the demon from the painting and reclaim Iris to our team. We then travel to the Tower of Fanatics to re-enlist Santa back into our group before traveling to Thamasa. There we learn of Santa's old arch-nemesis from youth, Hidon, and they he still lives! We go assault Ebot's Rock and learn Santa's greatest blue magic, Grand Delta, before defeating Hidon. We then backtrack to the Veldt and FINALLY save Yojimbo from a horrible Behemoth death before recruiting him permanently at the Coliseum. We then repay a visit to Tetra in Mobliz and with her help, finally kill Phunbaba. With her signed onto the team, there is only one last place left to go...
