Final Fantasy VIII: Remastered | Biggs Wedge Elvoret | Boss Fight

Biggs and Wedge are non-player characters in Final Fantasy VIII. They are two incompetent Galbadian soldiers who are frequently encountered by Squall and his party. They serve as comic relief throughout the game.

Biggs is the bossy overconfident leader of the duo, and Wedge the obsequious sidekick who follows Biggs's orders despite their apparent recklessness. The pair ends up in numerous humorous encounters where Wedge is dragged down by his superior's incompetence and is demoted alongside him. Biggs cannot stand being bothered during what he sees as his important mission and is quick to blame Wedge when things go wrong. Biggs begrudges Squall's party, seeing them as the reason for his loss of status within the army. Wedge is timid and wants to please his superiors, especially Biggs, but struggles to make his voice heard or be taken seriously.

Elvoret is a boss in Final Fantasy VIII. Its appearance is similar to another monster called Elnoyle. It is a flying monster who lives on the abandoned communications tower outside Dollet. It could be considered the first proper boss of the game, since the Fire Cavern is a tutorial area. It is faced immediately after fighting Biggs and Wedge.

Before Elvoret appears, Squall and his team must fight Biggs and Wedge. After a considerable amount of damage has been given, Elvoret will make its appearance by blowing the two Galbadian soldiers out of the battle.

Elvoret possesses the Siren GF, which the player must draw. If missed, the player must wait until the final dungeon to get another chance. Elvoret uses Storm Breath, a non-elemental attack, used every three turns and hits all party members. It also uses Fire and Thunder.
