Near the end of the Sochen Palace, a boss awaits us! The Ahriman isn't extremely tough, but it can be a tricky fight.
It likes attacking with Magick, so Shell is a good buff to cast on the party, it can also cast Doom, so having a character with the Remedy Lores can help cure that status. Debuffing Ahriman helps too, Slow is as useful as ever, and casting Regen on it can help a lot as well, because it is Undead and will constantly lose HP from it.
And doing that has another advantage, later in the fight, Ahriman will create clones of itself. While it is easy enough to just set up a Gambit to make your characters attack the Foe with the highest max HP, having Slow and Regen on the boss will make it very easy to distinguish, since it will be the only one to have these effects.

Once that boss is out of the way, you are free to reach Archades, where you will need to gather some information to "go up in the world."
