Previously, the party arrived in the Crown City of Insomnia and began the story quest "The Cure for Insomnia". Insomnia has been greatly expanded for the Royal Pack/Edition. They made it to the Kingsglaive Base Camp in the city's subway tunnels. Now, they will continue exploring the city and begin carrying out the quests.

The party returned to past Lucis to save. When they resume, they call Umbra to return to the present Insomnia (time 1:37).

Back in the Kingsglaive Base Camp, they talk to Marshal Cor (time 2:50). He issues the sidequest "Relics of the Empire". Noctis must help eliminate some of the Imperial installations remaining in the city. The first objective is to speak to Josef, a tactician upstairs.

Upstairs, the party talks to Josef (time 4:02). The party must rendezvous with Cor at each of three Imperial bases scattered around the city and destroy them.

Downstairs, they talk to a bespectacled Glaive in the east (time 4:58). She issues the sidequest "Crown City Without a King". She wants the party to take five photos at locations throughout Insomnia. These photos will have to be taken manually.

Outside the lodging, the party speaks with another Glaive (time 6:06). She issues the sidequest "A Glaive out of Time". She wants the party to rendezvous with a Glaive in the southwest of the city to recover some parts for Cindy.

As the party explores town, they will first carry out the quest "Crown City Without a King".

To leave the base camp, the party must unlock the gate with the West Underpass Key (time 7:24). They explore the section of tunel outside the camp.

On a table in the east of the tunnel, they find Iron Shavings (time 7:59).

In the northeast corner, they find a Rusted Bit (time 8:23).

At the dead end in the northern path, they find a Shattered Timepiece (time 9:36).

There are gates along two paths leading west. The northern of the two gates can be unlocked with the West Underpass Key (time 9:51). The party will need a different key to unlock the southern gate.

Down the northern path leading west, the party eventually emerges outside (time 11:47). They are in the north of the city.

A scene takes place when they emerge into the open (time 12:07). The usurper bids them a warm welcome to "his" kingdom. There is a new complication to reaching the Citadel.

For "Crown City Without a King", the party finds one of the photo spots just west of the exit from the underpass (time 14:06). It is a monument to Tonitrus Lucis Caelum, dubbed the Fierce. Noctis must the picture manually.

There are Red Giants roaming the streets in this section of time, and they are not so jolly. The Ring's Alterna spell works on them, but not all the time.

In a dead end west of the plaza with Tonitrus's monument, the party finds a Glass Gemstone (time 17:35).

In the northwest of town, the party finds the Citadel - Trifecta Hall rest area.

Along the southwest side of Trifecta Hall, the party finds the monument to Crepera Lucis Caelum, dubbed the Rogue (time 21:23). This is the second spot they photograph for "Crown City Without a King".

Not far south of the monument to Tonitrus, the party finds the Citadel - East Interchange rest area. On a broad boulevard southeast of there, they can find a powerful Iseultalon. Garuda helps blow this creature away.

In a parking lot, they find a Mega Phoenix (time 29:04).

In the underground tunnel that provides access to the LR Citadel Station rest area in the middle of town, they find the Underpass Master Key (time 30:22). That will open many gates that the other key will not. This underpass has an elevator leading to the Kingsglaive Base Camp.

In an alley southwest of the LR Citadel Station rest area, the party can find a Fire Crest on a trash can (time 32:58).

In a southern dead end nearby, they find a Megalixir (time 34:01).

There is a crashed Imperial carrier in the southwest of this district. Inside, the party finds a Dynamo (time 34:51).

Nearby, the party finds the entrance to the southwestern tunnels (time 35:04). I think I remember these from the original version of insomnia. There are two gates that the party can open when entering from this side of the tunnel. Look out for Eternal Troopers and Salpinxes.

In the south of the east-west stretch of tunnel, they find a Mega Phoenix in front of a trash can (time 37:24).

The description is continued in the comments.
