Well, I'd have prefered Jessica over him, but I guess her father will do. He's awesome and I even get him two levels for Eliwood's arc, which is why I don't use Linoan to much. In order to get the map Master Mel is in in Eliwood's chapter, the total level of your three lords must be less than 50. Otherwise, you get Kyle. Kyle is a hero and most would prefer him, but I've never had Master Mel at the end so you're getting him now.
I turn animations off because this is my favorite track of the game when the fog rolls in. I'll do it for this track and one other track so I can listen to it without battles interfering.
