In this section we take on Trial Map 6: Trapped, which is unlocked for linking the Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones Game Boy Advance game with the Nintendo Gamecube via a GBA Link Cable!
Oh boy lol, this map did not turn out well. It was another map in which my units started very spread out, which made it difficult to defend the weaker units, as well as to spread out the amount of hits that each individual unit was open to taking. I lost 2 units pretty much right at the start, I think due to them getting "Slept" by the enemy Bishops so that they couldn't defend themselves. I opted to go for the Bow units on my first turn, because I was afraid of them picking off my Wyvern / Pegasus units, but in hindsight if I had taken out a Bishop first then perhaps I wouldn't have lost those characters
and that would have made the rest of this mission much easier.
As far as all of the Trial Maps go, this one was by far the most difficult, due to the odd shape of the map, the fact that your units start off so spread out, as well as the sheer number of difficult enemy reinforcements that come in. I was petrified almost the entire time and felt like I was constantly on my heels. I think that I definitely made some pretty good strategic plays, but for the most part I felt like I was just holding on for dear life lol.
I was attempting to go for an A rank, but after losing those 2 units at the start I knew that that wasn't going to be possible. I ended up losing Haar on the very last turn as well, which dropped me down to a C Rank overall. Oh well. I mostly just wanted to complete / showcase the mission anyways, the A rank was just for fun. And all in all this was still a very fun, albeit challenging, final Trial Map.
And that takes us to the end of this playthrough. It was a fun game to play, and although I was incredibly nervous about doing narration at the start, it ended up being a fun experience overall. I don't know if it added much, or if it just makes the footage unwatchable, and believe me I am incredibly paranoid about how I sound and how I speak, but I hope that it made it fun for at least one person to experience this game along with me. If it did, I'm definitely open to doing more narrated playthroughs in the future, but that's all for now - take care, peace! =)
