Gelly discovered a relatively easy way to skip raising the spires, which still leaves 2 of them accessible. However, the elevators don't work properly in either of them: in St. Andrews, the load zone makes you fall through the elevator, and Juleston loads some annoying collision that pushes you through the floor.

cynbel_terreus discovered a way to stop load zones from working by loading a save in the middle of a conveyance pod transition. I guess we're calling it sPod right now.

By combining these two, you can reach the St. Andrews and Juleston embrace rooms without actually raising the spires. sPod means you can't open your pause menu and none of the conveyance pods are accessible.... but autosaves still trigger during sPod, so all you have to do is get somewhere autosaveable and alt-f4 to get back to a normal state.
