This little patch fixes the crackle and loud pulses of sound when initializing the Audio Driver.

The driver is not clearing the memory buffer used so when the driver is started there is random data within the buffer. This is due a bug on the drivers delivered with Amithlon.

Make sure Powerpci.library V2 is installed.
Some drivers (OpenPCI, USB) require the latest powerpci to work, which is only clearing the DMA memory when the flag is set.
This causes the old audio drivers to create a very loud and bad crackle.

If you don't have this problems then you are probably using the contrib3b drivers which aren't affected because they don't use powerpci.

The patch is from Guido Mersmann, 2003, and is not easy to find.
Best place to download it is from the SnkBitten web site
http://amithlon.snkbitten.com/files/patches/Newkernel%20drivers/

Or from Aminet but comes bundled with PlayOGG
http://aminet.net/package/mus/play/playOGG

Run it from User-Startup
"Run NIL: AmithlonBugFix" within your user-startup.
