The full game came out a few days ago. I started mainly messing around with scoring on Normal, for which I will likely post a video soon. Afterwards I worked on my Lunatic clear. I will say that this game's possibly the hardest Touhou has been, at least on Normal. Alot of late-game patterns actually felt menacing and inconsistent to deal with on Normal. On Lunatic this didn't get any better which is why in this run there were quite a few planned bombs. I don't really have the desire to go for a No Bomb run but I know Yellow2 is the superior Main Story Stone to pick. I just enjoy Red2 better when playing as Marisa.

Aside from that my opinion of this game is that it's alright. It's better than the previous main game of this format (UM). The stone mechanic is fun to play around with and you get "alot" of options. Music is great as always. I'm however not a fan of how late-game patterns stubbornly don't let you delete bullets, whether through colliding with a bullet while a hyper is active, bombing or dying. There's too many patterns like that.

But then in terms of functionality this game is once again a buggy mess. Some patterns have bullets flip their sprite randomly or just glitch out altogether, replays desync constantly*, game crashes randomly, score PBs randomly don't save and ZUN can't even have the window title display the correct game title or version number. It's embarrassing but if people stopped buying the game this wouldn't be a problem.

The PIV bug also was not fixed, meaning for score we have to use thprac for the game to be competitive. This is partly why I haven't posted a score video yet so I will be working on that in the meantime. The scoring is pretty enjoyable so it's worth putting in a few more credits for that.

*I had to cut my Stage 1 boss from live footage because my replay desynced here and is also why the score and PIV isn't consistent. That's why there's no sound effects and why my final score is different in this video from what it actually is (12,352,976,590).
