Frantic Factory 3D
21This is an animation I created using Carrara (not sure which version). It depicts how the floors of Frantic Factory, a level in Donkey Kong 64, pan out in 3D. The floors are connected by transparent tubes. The four shops (belonging to Funky Kong, Candy Kong, Cranky Kong, and Snide) are raised up and animated to rotate and always face the camera.
I made this animation by first scanning the page in the Nintendo Player's Guide that had a map of the entire factory (computer #1, mine at home), deleting unneeded extras with Photoshop (computer #2, at school), and taking the transparent PNG images to computer #3 which has Carrara. Then I edited in the music and fades with Final Cut Pro (6?).
