Hey, this is Curiosity Man. Remember that set of Song Previews I posted almost 2 years ago - • Song Previews Set 1 (Mega Man & Frida...
Yeah, I finally managed to finish another song presented there roughly 5 days ago.
Admittedly due to more recent music I've been capable of creating, I look back onto this one with a BIT of sadness, but the ideas here were at the very least still driven by passion, and also challenging myself to step outside of my usual comfort zone with FNF songs.
How I planned to achieve this was to attempt to make this song while using as FEW tracks in the Song Editor as possible. Normally, my FNF songs almost always go into the Triple Digits in how many tracks I use. Furthermore, I also went with a Boyfriend voice I normally don't use. Nyx BF. I'd have to effectivelu get used to a totally new voice, and understand what works and what doesn't work.
Speaking of voices? Nightmare Sans on this song is actually just Sans with a Chorus Effect applied. I did this because at the time I didn't have a soundfont pack with Nightmare Sans already pre-packaged, so I directly asked Tenzu how he made Nightmare Sans, and he told me it was just by adding a Chorus Effect on Sans.
Other things of note include taking on the concepts presented in the original Bad Time of having nods to Battle Against a True Hero, and going for MORE parts of that song, or having it so there's nods to His Theme (Asriel's song) twice instead of only once. I also thought it'd be fun to increase the tempo of the song, while also mixing up when certain parts of the original song occur. Finally, I had it so the song would have two key changes instead of only one.
While it's much more important to the Instrumental than the Vocals, it should be noted that I used Panning on this song. As such, certain Tracks in the Sound Editor of my own choosing may only play sounds from either the Left Speaker or Right Speaker, or even rotate between them. I do this not only to the Instrumental, but to the Vocals too.
With all that said, even if I myself may not be the most proud of it? I hope you or anyone else enjoy it. Credits will be below.
