357It has been officially announced by the Premier League that Nottingham Forest will be deducted 4 points for their breach of PSR regulations. This leaves Forest in 18th position in the Premier League and one point off safety. But Should the club appeal this decision in the hope that the 4 points could be reduced?
After Everton sustained a 10 point punishment that was later reduced to 6 on appeal, Forest fans might think this announcement is good news and the club should not attempt to appeal the decision. The reason for Forest's punishment not being as severe is due to the communication between the club and the Premier League, as Forest admitted their breach immediately and were trying to resolve the situation.
With the full Premier League PSR breach report being made public, there are some interesting details regarding the sale of "player A" which we all know is former Forest star Brennan Johnson. With the report going into detail about how Forest had a 50m Euro bid from Atletico Madrid, a £32m bid from Brentford all before the final £47.5m Spurs bid which was accepted, but after the deadline for PSR.
