The passage of The Stanley Parable begins like this: you leave room 427 and go along the office corridors to a fork with two doors. The narrator says that Stanley should go left, but you can turn and go right. Then the voice-over will be confused, because for some reason the hero did not follow his instructions.

The narrator will beg Stanley to get back on the "right track", but it is not necessary to obey him. The Storyteller will soon lose patience and start breaking the fourth wall by speaking directly to the player and judging them for their insubordination.

Sooner or later, you will open one of the many endings, after which the game will start over. The second time, the hero will again exit room 427 to make a choice between the left and right doors. And the third time, and the fourth - and so on ad infinitum.
