Zeus presents Gauntlet for the Arcade played on my PS2, a true classic from the golden era of arcade gaming which must not be forgotten alongside the software house and all programmers that were involved in making this game.

Year of release: 1985

I remember seeing this in our local arcade at the time, huge cabinet with 4 players but i was never drawn to it, it just wasn't my kind of game, i was more into Street Fighter 1, Double Dragon, Shinobi & Outrun, but i can see why it was a classic and why it had a large fan base.
You control either the Wizard, Warrior, Valkyrie or Elf, you must get through as many dungeons as possible, firing on all baddies and using your magic potions to defeat the harder bad guys whilst also making sure you collect food to stay healthy, if i remember the game never ends.
As this is from a PS2 compilation, i cannot be for sure how accurate this is, only hard core Gauntlet arcade fans will know for sure if there are any differences.
