Stephan Seguin (ModalModule) is a professional musician, game composer, and game developer, and a long time friend of mine since I was next door neighbors with him and his older brother back when we were in elementary school.

He made this awesome UltimaChip device and wondered if it could be done in FPGA since he knew I was involved with the MiSTer FPGA project. I told him it's the perfect way to do it, bought him a DE10-Nano to encourage him to not reinvent the wheel with regards to the software side, the framework, video display, etc...

He spent the last month of countless hours toiling away at making it work, occasionally asking me for help, but it was all him. I'm super surprised at how quickly he picked up verilog and learned to read vhdl as well. Truly a blood and sweat fueled genius. Out of all the people I've helped get into this hobby, he's the fastest learner I've seen.

The core is mostly in a complete usable state, I just finished some cleanup, a few minor optimizations, nothing major.

Apologies for the aliasing artifacts (little weird high pitched squeals occasionally on higher notes), I should have fixed that before recording, it is what it is, they aren't in the core when playing it live.
