Glowstick Entertainment - RED TRIANGLE BUG
LEVEL - 332950 (No. 8)
NOTES/SPECULATION
1. Every enemy in the game spawns with a red triangle placed above/below itself.
2. This red triangle is the same one visible on the map under the effects of the red bonus shard.
3. This is because the map texture is created by pointing an orthographically projected camera down at a viewing canvas, consisting of the 2d map drawing (the background) and various shapes, representing shards, enemies, and other items, superimposed on top. The red triangle is one such entity that is seen by the map camera. Map elements are almost always only visible from one direction.
4. Consequently, in certain levels (Crazy Carnevil, Bearly Buried, etc.), usually when you can see outside the predetermined boundaries, the red triangles of enemies on other floors are potentially visible to the player. In this video, we see that the red triangles of trigger teddies are placed low enough such that an enemy on the lowest point of a crossing displays a visible triangle on the upper level.
5. Because the red triangle is considered part of the enemy, colliding with such a triangle will result in the death animation occurring with the corresponding enemy. (PROOF - The player collided with the red triangles on the top floor of the cave, however the jumpscare clearly occurs on the lower floor.)
