Explanation from GMG:

At Typhon's Cave, I roll past his breath and up to the main area until he says, "Get out of my sight!". This is when the grapples are activated *but you can't shoot them*. Retreat all the way back to where you would normally land AFTER grappling the 3rd grapple and instead jump toward it and grapple it then swing back to the land you just came from. Typhon's breath will behave oddly at times after this *on occassion it will not have visible effects on the terrain or YOU*. Go back to the main area and proceed as per usual. Get TB, kill the 4 archers and 4 Sentries. When the barrier comes down you should blast the grapple(s) and get across quickly. You now have regenerating magic..for some reason...you'll notice that the grapple *even with its cover blown* will not lose its targetability...perhaps this fools the game into thinking you hadn't left..it is way different from what I had expected to work...this is FAR better as it can be done in ANY setting..by the gods it is great like that.
