Godzilla 1954 Review: A Tale of Two Zillas
10Godzilla 1954 (or Gojira) was the first movie in the Godzilla franchise. Though it would be fair to assume this movie is a wild campy ride considering how famous the Showa Era was for its wacky battles, this movie took itself very seriously and had a real message that is still relevant to this day.

Ever since I was a kid, I've had an obsession with dinosaurs and dragons. I found the perfect combination of the two in Godzilla. Watching that big lizard stomp across the screen and beat up other monsters was the pinnacle of my childhood viewing experience.
As an adult, I have enjoyed watching all the new Godzilla content that has been released since 2014. With a new Godzilla series on the horizon, I find myself overcome with excitement, yet starved for more Godzilla.
Though I have seen almost every Godzilla film ever made, I have forgotten over half of them or have all of their events mixed up in my head.
Over the next year, I plan to watch every single Godzilla movie ever made in hopes of reliving my childhood and satisfying my appetite for giant dinosaur dragon content.
