Oh boy, I've been away for quite a while, haven't I? Sorry for the long wait everyone. Honestly, It was due to me having a lot of projects to work on, and I guess I just felt burnt out from all the drawing that I couldn't muster the morale to get this video done and move on with the list. So to make it easier for myself, I'm not going to make specific medals for the #50 spots anymore. It's already too much hassle making these special videos.

But enough about that, let's pay a tribute to my personal favourite video game composer of all-time; Yoko Shimomura!

STREET FIGHTER II ~ CHUN-LI'S THEME
- DEVELOPED BY: Capcom
- PUBLISHED BY: Capcom
- DESIGNED BY: Akira Nishitani | Akira Yasuda
- COMPOSED BY: Yoko Shimomura | Isao Abe
- WHERE MUSIC PLAYS:
[CHARACTER THEME] - Chun-Li
[LEVEL] - Chun-Li's Stage

- DESCRIPTION:
I actually never knew Shimomura composed for Street Fighter until I started this special. But that's so cool to know that the iconic themes for the classic characters in the Street Fighter were composed by her. I'm not entirely sure if she composed all of them, as this was a collaborative effort with Isao Abe, but I have heard she has indeed composed Chun-Li's Theme, which is why I put it in this spot.

LIVE A LIVE ~ PURE ODIO
- DEVELOPED BY: Square
- PUBLISHED BY: Square
- DESIGNED BY: Nobuyuki Inoue
- COMPOSED BY: Yoko Shimomura
- WHERE MUSIC PLAYS:
[FINAL BOSS] - Pure Odio

- DESCRIPTION:
Shimomura's always been excellent at composing final boss themes, and this obscure title is no exception. It's equally as dramatic, catchy and fast-paced as a lot of her other themes. And in classic SNES quality no less. I've never heard of this game before I "researched" for this special, but this tune was a pretty neat find nonetheless.

POP 'N' MUSIC 13: CARNIVAL ~ MAJESTIC FIRE
- DEVELOPED BY: Konami
- PUBLISHED BY: Konami
- DIRECTED BY: tera | wac | MTO
- COMPOSED BY: Yoko Shimomura
- WHERE MUSIC PLAYS:
[MINIGAME] - Majestic Fire

- DESCRIPTION:
Maybe it's not uncommon for composers to make about one or two songs for a game as their only contribution, but it's still kind of weird how sometimes there's a certain song in some games that's composed by someone you knew, that you never knew about. This is one of those cases. Majestic Fire is the only song Shimomura composed for this game, and it definitely has the fast-paced and upbeat style of her music. She also composed for Pop 'n' Music 17: Movie, and also did only one song for that game.

BREATH OF FIRE ~ TRADE CITY
- DEVELOPED BY: Capcom
- PUBLISHED BY: Capcom [SNES(Japan)] [GBA (America)] | Squaresoft (America) [SNES] | Ubisoft (Europe)
- DESIGNED BY: Yoshinori Takenaka | Yoshinori Kawano | Makoto Ikehara
- COMPOSED BY: Yoko Shimomura | Yasuaki Fujita | Mari Yamaguchi | Minae Fuji
- WHERE MUSIC PLAYS:
[LEVEL] - Prima

Another Capcom game that I didn't know Shimomura composed for! And like with Pop 'n' Music 13, she only composed one song for this game, that being this one. Not sure why she composed only this theme, but I suppose there's a good reason behind it. Either way, she did a great job composing in as close a style as possible to the other composers of the game.
