Google's Wild Idea - A Buttonless Pixel Watch
Huge Pixel Watch 3 leaks are already emerging, even before the Pixel Watch 2. According to a newly discovered Google patent, the company is experimenting with a radically different design - a Pixel smartwatch without any physical buttons.
The patent outlines an all-touch interface, with gestures and sensors replacing the typical watch crown and side buttons. Swiping motions would control scrolling and apps, while gestures like pinches or taps provide input.
Ditching physical buttons would allow for a sleeker, more minimalist Pixel Watch 3 design. But it remains to be seen if an all-touch UX can match the precision and ergonomics of buttons. This buttonless concept is still just a patent for now.
But if Google brought it to reality, it would mark a bold departure from the original Pixel Watch design. Do you think a buttonless watch could work, or should Google stick to tried and true buttons? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
