I can see why people complained that this game was too easy, its even easier than Gothic which makes sense from a story perspective given that by the end of Gothic you've slain at least a few dozen orcs, several demons and banished the sleeper. In fact it can be argued that they had to do that ret-con about you being trapped under rubble so you'd be weak initially because if you were as powerful as you were at the end of Gothic the game would be a complete joke but even if it makes sense for your character to be more powerful than they were in Gothic it makes the gameplay too easy.
