GTA IV Special Vehicle Guide: AP Conversion
0Welcome to my Special Vehicle Guide for GTA IV! This Video will show you how to convert ANY Vehicle into AP (All Proof) form by using the Girlfriend Dates. All Proof means the Vehicle is Bullet Proof (BP), Damage Proof (DP), Explosion Proof (EP), and Fire Proof (FP) simultaneously.
***The Method I show in the Video will work for EVERY Platform and Version out there for GTA IV.
Step 1 - Go to any Internet Cafe and type in the Website Love-Meet.net and search for Carmen Ortiz (SoBoHoe) and Alex Chilton (Liberated Woman). Alternatively, go to Craplist.net and search for Kiki Jenkins (LawChick). When you locate these three Girlfriends on the Websites, simply contact them for a Date. Make note that it literally takes about an hour (real life time) for them to reply back to Niko in his Email, so it's best to send Emails while you go through the Story and have some other Missions to do to pass the time.
Step 2 - After they finally send Niko an Email, reply positively to them to schedule a Date.
Step 3 - Once the Dates are scheduled, take your desired Vehicle to their House and drive it into the Yellow Marker. For Helicopters, wait until you pick them up in a random Vehicle and then drive back to the Safehouse where your Helicopter is stored. For Boats, do the same thing, but drive to any Dock that has a Boat Spawn that you want to convert to AP.
Step 4 - Once you pick up the Girlfriend at her House, all you have to do is break the window of your Vehicle and fire any Weapon out which will "scare" the Girlfriend and a short Cutscene will take place. After the Cutscene is over, you will be sitting in an AP Vehicle! At this time, just take it back to a Safehouse and park it. For Helicopters, go retrieve the Helicopter at your Safehouse with the Girlfriend and then fly to any Building and land on the roof. Try and get the Girlfriend to not enter while you quickly enter it and ascend into the air. At this point, you must sort of land on the Girlfriend, but don't do it too rough, or you will kill her and need to redo this entire process. You need to bump into her where it will only "scare" her so the Date fails. If successful, you will get a short Cutscene and after the Cutscene takes place, you will be sitting in an AP Helicopter! Just park it at a Safehouse. For Boats, you can only temporarily obtain them and have some fun since you can't store them in Parking Spaces, but you can still make a random Boat AP by doing the same thing as any Car, Truck, Van, or Motorcycle by firing a Weapon to "scare" the Girlfriend.
You can convert any Car, Truck, Van, Motorcycle, Helicopter, or Boat. However, for Boats, you'll have to convert a random Boat parked at a Dock since you can't actually store them in Parking Spaces in GTA IV. They simply don't save, but all other Vehicles do. For Helicopters, the Method is a bit different, but for Cars, Trucks, Vans, and Motorcycles, the Method is the same. For this Video, I show a Unique Police Stockade, EC Infernus, and EC Maverick converted to AP. If you want, you can also use Michelle (Karen) and Kate to convert Vehicles into AP form, but I don't recommend using them since those Girlfriends are "one time only" and it's nice to get their Fondness to 100% in the Stats. Eventually, when you find out Michelle (Karen) isn't who she says she is in the Story, you won't be able to date her ever again, so it's best to get to 100% Fondness on her early on. Kate is the same way, eventually, depending on the Revenge or Deal Ending, Kate won't always be available, so it's nice to get her to 100% Fondness. The Internet Girlfriends (Alex, Carmen, and Kiki) are always available. You can re-date them at any time, even after 100%, so I would just use those. If you really want to use Michelle (Karen), you can begin dating her after the Story Mission "First Date." If you really want to use Kate, you can begin dating her after the Story Mission "Waste Not Want Knots."
Even though you can use the Internet and start dating after the Story Mission "Logging On," I would wait until you unlock Algonquin considering two of the three Internet Girlfriends live in Algonquin and the other lives in Bohan.
Note that if you convert a POLICE VEHICLE into AP form and accidentally access the Police Computer, the AP Properties will be deleted. Furthermore, if you use an AP Vehicle to go out on a Date with a Girlfriend, the AP Properties will also be deleted!
Remember, BP, DP, EP, and FP Properties are different in the HD Era compared to the 3D Era! The Vehicles can still take cosmetic damage, but they will never start to smoke, catch fire, or blow up!
