Guitar Hero DLC - The Hand That Feeds (Expert Vocals FC - 84k)
The first DLC set for 2011, this also marks a radical change in the release schedule if we judge by its name alone - the January Mega Pack. You got it, apparently the DLC releases are going to happen once a month now, a far cry from what had been occurring during the GH5 era. :\ But in spite of being sparse, there's still quanity involved, so it's probably not too big a loss. Over the weekend I will host a selection from it, which involves groups of songs from A Day to Remember and Nine Inch Nails, plus 4 singles.
The first one I shall host here is from the NIN block. With an intensity of 7/10, "The Hand That Feeds" has the highest vocal intensity for a WoR-era DLC song yet, and is the highest intensified release since Shinedown's "Sound of Madness" back in July.
To be fair, for one that I was "fearing" (lol) so much, it actually turned out a little underwhelming. By the time you get to the high "will you bite the hand that feeds you" lines near the end, it's fair to say you're close to the end; anywhere before then and after the second chorus could be considered choke city tho, but it's nowhere near as ridiculous as the verses for "Head Like a Hole" from my experience. It's still one that's very flexible with my range tho, so don't think I'd shunt it completely; quite the enjoyable track once you get used to it.
Expect more coverage tomorrow; probably might look at that HIM track next, since my peers at ScoreHero enjoyed it so much :)

Q: What's this Team Epic Fail thing you're a part of?
A: Team Epic Fail is a gaming clan with a lot of skilled GH players across all systems and all instruments. You can find out more about them here:
http://www.youtube.com/user/XTeamEpicFailX
Q: What's that intro music you use?
A: The intro music is "Bad Chipmunk", a composition that I made myself in my third year of University study. You can grab the full track here:

Q: How do you record your game?
A: I use a Dazzle DVC Platinum, with all audio coming from an Olympus Digital Voice Recorder. They're both cheap little things, I must admit, but they certainly get the job done.
Q: What console are you on?
A: I'm on the Wii :)
Q: Why are you on the Wii? Graphics are SOOOOO much better on the X360 and PS3 - get one of those instead!!
A: If it plays fine enough for me to rack up the FCs that I did, I don't need another system just yet. I'm perfectly happy with my Wii at the moment, thank you.
Q: Can you do an FC of (insert song here)?
A: I accept all FC requests as long as I haven't done a vocal vid for it already. You'll be able to see the video links to the on-disc and DLC songs I've done in my Scorehero accomplishment thread, which links to vids both here and at Dailymotion:

Q: Haha, you suck! You must have a retarded existence thinking you're some kind of crappy rockstar, you fat cow!
A: Firstly, that wasn't even a question; secondly, you must have an even more retarded existence taking time to troll even the perfectly healthy amongst us nerds; and finally, any comment like that gets an automatic block from me.
Q: Can I play with you? You're so cool on vocals!!
A: I can only play with European Wii players on GH5 and Band Hero, but other than that I can play with just about anyone with a Wii. If you got your friend codes / console number handy, I'll share mine in return and I'll be sure to keep it in my roster for when we do meet.
