Welcome to my recreation of Hakugei, the steel hybrid coaster located at Nagashima Spa Land in Mie Prefecture, Japan. Hakugei was originally a wooden roller coaster named White Cyclone (manufactured by Intamin) which closed permanently in 2018 and underwent refurbishment by Rocky Mountain Construction. This massive roller coaster stands 180.4 feet tall and features a max vertical angle of 80.0°, a top speed of 66.5 mph and 3 inversions over the course of more than 5,000 feet of track. Hakugei is the first I-Box coaster (as well as the first Rocky Mountain Construction coaster) to be built in Asia. The name Hakugei (白鯨) means "White Whale" in Japanese. Enjoy!
