This is a full walkthrough of "We've Got Hostiles!" in the Half-Life Net Test 1 prototype. And by "full walkthrough", I mean things like breaking every destructible prop I can find, using interactive objects, getting items, and being in every area of a map.
21:23 Out of bounds exploit on the surface
The section where you're on the surface and under attack from human grunts and artillery has an interesting difference: you can jump through the fence, letting you explore the area where the Osprey drops off human grunts. You were clearly never meant to be there, as you can go out of bounds, see undetailed areas, and get stuck underneath the map. The final game added a player clip to prevent that from happening.
There's also a caching bug that happened to me when loading a save made in the air vent that has human grunts rappelling from an Osprey. If a save in that area is loaded, the game doesn't cache the human grunt model, causing the game to quit to the console whenever the Osprey tries to spawn human grunts. A similar bug happens with the final boss.
