After being delayed a full year, ‘Halo Infinite’ was finally released in December 2021 to widespread critical acclaim. It brought back the fun to the series many felt was missing in the multiplayer, but the single player also gave everyone the first ever open-world ‘Halo’ title, though it appears that at one stage, the very first original game was planned to be this way, too.
