Welcome to part 10 (the final part) of Halo Infinite on Legendary. This is the boss room in the Silent Auditorium (or maybe the whole base is considered the silent auditorium)

This was also an annoying fight but not as much as the past few. I didn't find any way to "cheese" this battle.

~Spoilers Ahead~
Overall I had a great time plaything the game. Everything looks great, the music is great, the amount of exploration available is just enough (for me). The voice lines for everyone was spectacular. The guns/gameplay is a lot of fun. The story was enjoyable.

Some of the guns felt more important than others. Some of the upgraded feel useless as it either didn't really change much (looking at you shield upgrade) or wasn't enough (looking at you drop wall cooldown). The enemy a.i. is interesting but can be tricked. Some will just stop and stare if you stand on a high enough object. Traversal started to become a slog because even with fast travel and the wasp, some places are far enough that you send a lot of time not doing much.

There was just enough bases and FOB to force one into exploring but the lack of variation on scenarios/enemies and lack of biome diversity became too repetitive towards the end of the game.

Not sure how the map is supposed to work. It's weird that some items are listed on the map but some aren't. I get that they're a secret but some of the time the marker just gets you to the area not the actual object.

Boss fights- The game didn't need them. I'm not sure why there's such a change from 4 - 5 - 6. All the fights feel like bullet sponges. Some of the bosses are hyper aggressive on Legendary and it became frustrating pretty quickly. I'm not that great at some games but I never felt accomplished for beating the difficult bosses. Some of the boss fights were so annoying that I went out of my way to find a way around them (cheesing them) because I wanted to beat the developer. It's not a great mind set to switch to. If I wanted to play destiny and fire at walls for an hour I would.

Small boss issue- There is no reason that the final boss room should have a invisible ceiling. At no other point in the game did I run into that being a thing. There was either a. physical height limit, or I could go wherever with the grapple. Don't put me into a very large room with little cover and then force me to not be spiderman. Let me play the way you've allowed to play the whole game or don't allow it in the first place.

Controls/Mechanics- There are so many abilities. You have the grapple, beacon, dash, drop shield. A useless upgrade for your base shield. The controls were almost infuriating to switch through on Legendary (hoping that utilizing the kit would make more of a difference). The answer is don't bother. Pick one for a fight and use it a lot. Either spiderman around the room. Or pick a good corner and use the drop wall.
Also way too many grenades. Just cycle through when you press the directional button. I don't need to click to open a small U.I. and then click another direction to select what I want. All of that while in a fight?? Might as well just throw all the grenades and hope for the best. Let's not forget the big consistency issue. In Halo 4, the thruster was introduced. Pretty neat. In Halo 5, same thruster but you could ground pound with it. Still neat (but we also ended up with shields that don't recharge when a spartan is sprinting lol) But here in Halo Infinite, no more always on thruster. It had to be unlocked and couldn't be used at the same time as any of the other abilities.

Story- I'm not really sure why a major story point, Cortana going rogue with the Guardians, was wrapped up off screen. It was such a big build up in 5 and felt like that was the biggest threat humanity was going to have to overcome. For it it just to be told in dialogue. She murdered a bunch of spartans on a training base. She attached a major base on earth. For some unknown reason she goes to a Halo ring (which was launched in Halo Wars 2). We see no Guardians or Prometheans. (super weird). Why would the death of Cortana lead to the Guardians disappearance and lack of Prometheans on a Forerunner installation??? I sort of get that people didn't really like the story in 5 but I thought it was because of the way the story was told and lack of mission where you play as Master Chief. I though we would have learned more about Cortana and why she turned out this way in this game but nope. Not going to happen.

The game promotes to explore and learn it's secrets but we don't. We only really find out more of what has happened in the previous months/years. No question is properly answered. It's as if Infinite was set up to overwrite Halo 5. Also where is the Infinity?

I think overall my perspective would have been different if I had been able to play co op as I had at launch of every other Halo game to date.
