I was fortunate enough to participate in the first closed beta event for HAWKEN, the highly-anticipated independent multiplayer mech combat game under development by Adhesive Games. HAWKEN is going to be released as free-to-play on December 12, 2012.

In this first video, I familiarize myself with the menu and mech "garage" system, and, as to be expected during beta, some pretty serious sever connectivity issues that prevent me from getting in a game right away. I keep trying and eventually am able to establish reliable connections to most servers! I'm able to find an empty deathmatch server on the Andromeda map, where I can figure out the controls without the worry of being vaporized by an opponent. This luxury soon expires.

Stay tuned on my channel, as I have a lot more HAWKEN footage, where, eventually, I get much better at playing the game! I'm also joined by some friends!
