=====REVIEW=====
This game has potential, but there are SO MANY things the devs need to work on. At first I thought this was an unfinished game, but after reading the game's page again, apparently this game is already finished(?)
So, some feedback:
1st problem, the game doesn't have any indicator of what things we can and cannot interact with. Multiple times, me and Areku struggle to solve puzzles simply because we don't know we could interact with something. An indicator to show whether we can interact with a certain object and a feedback (like buttons going down or changing colors) is absolutely essential in a game like this.
Its also important for you to highlight and differentiate between whats a puzzle element and whats not. an example of this is the 3 fan puzzle to give us access to the vents, these puzzle elements are NOT obvious at all and I can imagine a bunch of people getting confused going through the super long hallway over and over again just because they don't know that they can interact with the fans. Another example of this is the colored lights in the room with the morse code, clicking the lights on the floor gives no feedback at all and that's a huge problem because the only way for the player to know that they're able to interact with them is by clicking it multiple times to cause it to buzz.
2nd problem, I need to highlight the mirror puzzle because while the puzzle itself is good, how its executed is horrible. The mirrors are almost completely black and are put in a black background (going back to where i said puzzle elements need to be obvious), not to mention its super tedious to aim and bounce the lasers to the grid.
3nd problem, the game overall is just not finished. The player models lack animation, there's no ending to the game, and no options menu (I mean, technically there is but its only volume control).
How to avoid these problems as a dev:
PLAYTEST AND TAKE NOTES!
For a puzzle game like this, you need to get a person who is NOT involved in the making of the game to test it, this is because as the person who designed the puzzles, everything is already obvious to you. Get a friend to play your game and take notes, see when, where, and why they're struggling and do NOT give them any hints.
(Also, final note, if a game is not finished, please don't put it on steam and charge money for it, lucky I played the itch.io version which is free)
This game gets a 2/10 from me because yes, this game is unfinished and still need a lot of improvements, but this game is still functional and could be done right with some effort if the devs decide to take the time to improve it. But is it worth money? Definitely not, I suggest releasing it for free as early access to get feedback, charging money for this game will just make people mad and leave a bad review after refunding your game.
I wont recommend this game to anybody at this state considering there are way better free escape room games out there.
