A partial playthrough of the final hub of Hexen in the awesome Wrath of Cronos mod, using Vanilla Essence to render the game in Vulkan at 356x200, effectively a 16:9 equivalent to the original 320x200 of the DOS game, but also with lighting, ambient occlusion, and other modern features. The music is rendered by libOPN, simulating the same sound chip (OPN, a more advanced version of the OPL in the Sound Blaster) that you would find in a Sega Genesis.


This playthrough is done with my favorite class, the Necromancer, with a summon-oriented build, because you're not a real necromancer unless most of your enemies are beaten to death by hordes of skeletons before they even see you.
