Hook History
There were many video games based on the hook film which came out in 1991.

Nintendo released it's side scrolling platform game for the NES and Game Boy in the United States in Febuary 1992
Subsequent side-scrolling platform games were released for the Commodore 64 and the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) later in 1992, there were also versions for the Sega CD, Sega Genesis, and Sega's handheld Game Gear console in 1993. Then the successful arcade game was also released in 1993.

This is definitly a very fun game with an adventure base Beat 'em up gameplay
Check this, there was even a version which was Developed by Shadow Software and published by Ocean Software, and before you knew it Hook was released for Amiga and Atari ST in 1992

Gameplay
In each version of the game, the player plays as Peter Pan except the Arcade version which brought about more players to choose from
The more recognized version took place in Neverland where Pan had to rescue his children, after they are kidnapped by Captain Hook or some other bullS#!% reason just to make a game so we can enjoy and have fun.
Each version of the game has always been set in Neverland it's like these people NEVER knew of any other LAND.
It also concludes with a swordfight between Peter Pan and Captain Hook in some games.
But never the less it's a really really fun filled game that Parent's and their children or outside children can play together as A FAMILY and have FUN
