0As a full time small artist, it might look super fun, sunshine and rainbow. And it is, I enjoy my job so much. But truthfully, we don't really make that much.
If you calculate travel expenses, table fees, taxes and other expenditures into account.
There isn't a lot left. Esp when my reason for travel is also to get damn good food π

Also these numbers are definitely rough estimates only. Since it's hard to get a whole picture by just showing 1 month. Since I'm always thinking of ideas and always be investing back into the business.
There are things that need to be paid in advance such as table fees, travel, parking, PLI etc etc
Material and stock purchases are also sometimes done months in advance and you won't see that profit coming back in till months later. Especially when you are preparing for a new release.
The physical and mental side of it is intense too. As a small business owner, I find myself working always. I'm literally writing this script at 1:44am in bed. Before all I want to say escape my brain.
Most of my income comes from conventions/ markets so that might not be consistent throughout the months.
Overall I'm honestly super happy with how far I have come in just less than 1 year of attending convention and less than 2 years of my business launching.
