I estimate how much the first tickets to Mars will cost following the BFR proposal by SpaceX. I estimate that the cost will be about $250 million for just the transportation, and about $800 million including the equipment. These values could be reduced by half if more astronauts are taken on the first trip then the 12 that I am assuming.
