Pixar's The Good Dinosaur looks like it'll be a tearjerker. But it also will be a visually stunning re-creation of real rivers and mountains in Montana, Missouri, Idaho, and along the Snake River. Usually the big, stunning visual is for one shot of the movie...but Pixar is making it last the entire film! How did they use Google Maps and USGS data? And how much work did it actually take?!
