Graphics cards and CPUs have seen some crazy shortages, so building a gaming PC in today's market is harder and more expensive then ever before. You don't have to be trying to buy ad RTX 3080 to spend over $600 on a GPU, you can do that on a 1660 Super. That's pretty sad....

But it's not all bad news, pre-built Gaming PCs haven't seen crazy price hikes and for the most part you can find a system at almost any budget with some great hardware. So if your not willing to wait until the end of the year for components, you might want to start looking at a pre-built.
