To change the button layout preset in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, you can follow these steps:

Go to Settings.
Select Controller.
Choose Button Layout and select Custom Layout.
You can switch the preset under this menu or add a custom button layout.
Choose the button that you want to change and press X on it.
Press any button that you want to assign to that function.
Repeat for any other buttons that you want to remap.
Go back to the default setting if you want to undo the changes.
