How to choose the right PSU (which Power Supply Unit you need and how to install it)
80Here I'm talking to you about how to select a power supply unit for your PC build and the things to think about before hand. Including what wattage you need for your build and whether the PSU will fit in your case. Then I'll show you how and where to connect all the various cables. In this video I'm using the Corsair RM1000e PSU for demonstration purposes, but most modern modular power supply units will have a similar logic to them.
Things to consider when buying and installing a PSU:
- Not buying cheap (this can break your system)
- Ensuring the PSU will fit in your case (check the size specs)
- Making sure you have the right wattage for your PC specs
- Using the right cables in your build
- Ensuring you fully plug in all the cables!
