Today we are checking out Blender, to start this video off we are going to need to download 2 separate free addons inside of blender. One being Cell Fracture, the other being Landscape. We use the landscape add on since it has a procedurally generated rock for us already, however you can create your own if you prefer. Doing this method is a bit finicky at first since cell fracture is usually used for a cube but, technically you can use it for whatever shape that you desire. This video focuses more on the how to aspects of the process and less on the textures. The eventual goal is every friday to slowly build on this project with new tutorials till we eventually get a storm cloud with rain, and having lightning destroy the rock with the ring of power flipping out from the rock. If you use heavy shading make sure to use the cycle engine as Evee has some light stuttering making the quality go down, at the end of the video I show how to hide the original object in the render view this is needed so you don't get a ghost copy in the rendering space.
