Recently i wanted to build a mid century modern coffee table whose table top edges have steep bevels. If I had a decent table table saw, I should be able to use it to cut bevels at different degree even a very steep one, but with a circular saw, it 'll be very hard to achieve a steep bevel. Normally circular saw can only tilt to 45 degree, so to cut a steep bevel at 30 degree, i decide to build this steep bevel for my circular saw. After using the jig to cut steep bevel on my coffee table cutting jig, I have managed to build a nice mid century modern coffee table.
