How to Disable Windows Update on Windows 10 Permanently

Go to services, search for service - windows updates,
open the service and click on stop.
Select the status type as disabled.
▶-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now go to Start and type Regedit,
Now navigate down to Hkey local machine
Further,
go to software -- policies-- Microsoft -- windows --
create a new key and the WindowsUpdate.
right-click on windowsUpdate and create a new key
again naming this one as AU.
Inside the AU folder, right-click -- new and select
Dword 32-bit Name it as AUoptions
Give this entry the value as 2.

Now the last step:
Go to Windows Settings -- Network and Internet -- Select
your WiFi network you're currently connected to and
scroll below, Now turn the toggle labeled "Set as metered connection to ON"
