PdaNet allows you to tether your iphone or iphone 3g to any laptop and acts as if your iPhone was a wireless router. The steps are simple: create an ad-hoc network on your laptop, connect to that network on your iPhone, and then launch PdaNet. From there all your applications can access the web and the only restriction is the speed of your connection.
