How to fix the hum/buzz on the Blue Yeti microphone
2,936Update: if you have a USB drive or data cable plugged in the same set of ports as your Yeti you may be hearing the data transfer combined with the mic signal
I too had the problem where my new Blue Yeti microphone was producing a hum/buzz. I looked through the internet and managed to fix it. Just follow these steps to fix the hum/buzz coming from your blue yeti:
1: Plug it into a powered USB port
2: Mount it on a boom stand
3: Adjust the Gain Dial (Edit: to quite a way up and adjust your windows device volume to lower than 50% (mine is on 30))
4: Use noise Removal on the remainder of the noise in Audacity
