This video is an aternative solution, its much more simple to do and only requires the OBS app to acheive the 9:16 aspect ratio required for all youtube shorts.

The only disadvantage is that you can only edit the part of the screen you recorded, you could move the screen to record another part, but thats a lot of hassle for nothing.
