If you're having trouble playing songs, make sure you have HDCP enabled in settings. Go to Settings - System - HDMI - Enable HDCP. This is what I'm referring to when I mention my capture device is blocking music playback, since it requires me to disable HDCP.

Just like on the PS4, you can play your own music files on the PS5 using a flash drive. The supported formats at the moment are MP3 and FLAC. You can also create folders within the Music folder if you want to create different playlists.
