How to Stop MoUsoCoreWorker Process From Waking Up the Computer [Tutorial]

The "MoUsoCoreWorker.exe" process (also known as "MoUso Core Worker" process), is a part of the Windows Update client and is responsible for waking up your system to check and install the available updates. So, if your PC is waking up from sleep in random times the MoUsoCoreWorker.exe is the culprit.

Some Windows users have recently complained about an issue where MoUSO Core Worker Process.exe (MoUsoCoreWorker.exe) is constantly waking up their Windows 10 device from sleep. MoUSO Core Worker Process is an application that orchestrates the Windows Update session in the background. This generally works in the background, without disturbing you at the front-end. But, if your computer keeps waking up due to the MoUSO Core Worker Process.exe, simply follow these easy solutions to fix the issue easily.

Issues addressed in this tutorial:

Your system may fail to sleep due to MoUsoCoreWorker.exe if you have not updated the Windows of your system to the latest build. Moreover, corrupt/misconfigured power settings or conflicting third-party applications (like GoodSync) may also cause the error under discussion.

The user encounters the issue when the system does not go to sleep on the defined time but stays awake. For some users, the system keeps on cycling between sleep and waking up. When the user executes the powercfg /systemsleepdiagnostics command, MoUSO Core Worker Process (MoUsoCoreWorker.exe) is found to be responsible for this behavior.

This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Alienware, Razer, MSI, Huawei , Microsoft Surface, and Samsung.
