Unlocking Swift Step (Dash) in Hollow Knight: Silksong is way easier than most players think. The ability is hidden in the northernmost part of Deep Docks, right where it connects with Hunter’s March. No boss fight, no Rosary payment — just interact with the bug altar and the dash is permanently yours.
Once unlocked, press C (keyboard) or Left Trigger (controller) to dash. Hold it down to auto-run, and combine with jumps to reach higher platforms.
