In this tutorial, we will reuse the machine configured in Part 1 and add a CD-ROM reader.
First, let's plug the CD-ROM driver
Press [Shift] + [ Scroll Lock] to enable MAME's UI controls
[Tab] to open menu
Select "Slot devices"
Go to "board3:ide:ide:1"
Select "cdrom"
Go back to "File Manager" menu [ESC]...
...then floppydisk1...
...and navigate to CD-ROM/DVD-ROM driver
[Tab] to hide MAME's menu
"a:" selects floppydisk1
"dir" lists files on floppy
Start "install" program
Keep all settings to default values
Don't reboot now
Remove floppy from drive
Press [Shift] + [F3] to hard reboot the system
CD-ROM driver seems to be loaded correctly
Let's install a game on CD-ROM
"d:" selects CD-ROM reader
If you want to install CD-ROM reader without UI, check command line in description
It seems that speech does not work here, so I activate text.
Maybe this can be fixed with another hardware/software configuration
Emulated mouse's right button is mapped on real mouse's middle button
This can be changed in MAME's UI menu
