What happens when you create a L2 loop on an unmanaged switch that is connected to a managed switch with spanning tree configured? I'll give you a hint... Even if a port is "blocking", it still processes frames such as - STP, CDP, LLDP, VTP, PAgP, LACP, UDLD, etc.
So, if you create a loop that keeps feeding that managed switch with control plane frames, it could be the end!
