How Would Hyperloop Work (On the Cheap)? Twitter Engineer's Ideas
John Gardi got pushed into the internet spotlight after he tweeted a mock-up of what Elon Musk's much-rumored Hyperloop would be like, with Musk callit "the closest so far." We don't yet know the specifics of Musk's idea, but the prospects for super fast, affordable transportation are enough to keep us all excited about how it could work and revolutionize how we think about travel.
But how could it be built? Gardi says his idea for the project would end up costing just 1/10 of the price of California's high-speed rail project.
Kim Horcher and Tim Frisch discuss Gardi's ideas for Hyperloop.
